My Experience of the Nou Camp Stadium Tour

Being a huge football fan one of the first things that came to my mind when it was confirmed that I was visiting Barcelona was the football club. Barcelona FC is what I associate most with the city as Spanish football is so widely covered in this country. They are a marvellous club with so many world class players and over the years I have Nou Camp Stadium tourwatched so many of their games and marvelled at the size of the stadium and the atmosphere within it.

One of the first things I researched when I found out that I was visiting Barcelona was the stadium tour. I simply would not be content with just walking around it or seeing it from a distance, I simply had to go inside. I have to say, after hyping up the visit so much in my own head, I was delighted that my experience did not disappoint. It was quite simply one of the best days of my life.

I can’t decide what it was that I enjoyed most about my tour as there was so much to enjoy. The walk around the changing room before heading out to the tunnel and surfacing onto the pitch surrounded by the immense stands gave me a genuine feel of what it must be like for the players who play here week after week. I am not surprised that the top players in the world want to be here.

Aside from walking around the stadium, the other highlight of the tour was the museum. It was amazing to experience firsthand the history of the club which I hold in such high regard.
